About NC Rooted Community Agriculture
NC Rooted Community Agriculture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening local farms, building community connections, and expanding access to fresh, locally grown food in Randolph County and surrounding communities. Through partnerships, programs, and community support, NCRCA works to create a stronger local food system where farmers have opportunities to thrive, and more people can connect with the food grown around them.
Our Story
NC Rooted Community Agriculture was created from a simple belief: strong local farms help build strong communities. As interest in local food continues to grow, many small farms still face challenges reaching consistent markets and connecting with customers. At the same time, many families want easier ways to access fresh food grown close to home.
NCRCA was created to help bridge that gap - supporting farmers, strengthening connections, and creating programs that make local food more accessible. What began as a vision to better connect farmers and families has grown into a community effort supported by farmers, volunteers, organizations, and local partnerships working together to strengthen agriculture in our region.
